It’s finally Fall! While we don’t experience the seasons changing here in South Florida, we can see the season change with the Pumpkin flavors and holiday decorations right around the corner. With the season change comes new makeup trends, and Glambar is here to bring you the latest tips and tricks. Here is our 7 steps to the Perfect Red Lip.
Step 1: Start by exfoliating and moisturizing the lips.
Rebellious Red
Step 2: Using a little concealer, blot around the lip line to give yourself a nice blank start.
Step 3: Pick a color with the right undertone for your skin. A classic red lip usually has a blue undertone. But many modern girls, especially blonds and red heads, look great with a warmer orange undertone. Using your lip liner start tracing the bottom lip following the natural lip line.
Step 4: Trace the top lip starting at the corner and follow the natural lip line up to the cupids bow. Repeat on the opposite side.
Red Carpet Red
Step 5: Check to make sure lips are evenly traced before applying the lipstick. I like blotting my lips together to blend my lip liner in.
Refined Red
Step 6: Apply lipstick starting from the middle of the lip out to overlap with liner.
Step 7: Use a concealer with a small concealer brush to cover any mistakes and sharpen the lip line. Now go pout those beautiful red lips!
